General Experience Highlights

Tom is the senior partner in the firm, having established the firm in 1980. He is responsible for the firm’s consulting and tax practices.

Tom is also the owner of Marien Wealth Advisors, a separate but related company, devoted to financial planning and consulting for individuals.

Professional Education

Tom received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Connecticut in 1977 where he earned the summa cum laude designation for his exceptional academic achievement, having earned a grade point average of 4.0 out of 4.0 in his upper division years. In 1984, Tom earned his Master of Business Administration degree (MBA) from the University of Connecticut. In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Tom is also a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA), qualifying him to value businesses for events such as sales, estates, exit planning or divorce.

Outside the Office

When he is playing well, Tom enjoys golfing in the summer. He also enjoys skiing in the winter. Tom likes to travel and read when he can find the time. He and his wife, Marcia, live in Norwich and have two daughters, Rebecca, studying nursing at Quinnipiac University, and Sarah-Kate, in her senior year at Norwich Free Academy.
