Comprehensive Internal Controls
Wednesday, August 11 @ 9am to noon
or Thursday, October 28 @ 6pm

Are you working on an accounting manual? Are you confused about where to start? This class is the first step. It will walk you through the steps to create a good control environment and will show you how the accounting manual is just a part of the total controls you should be addressing.

Entity-wide Controls are a coordinated set of policies and procedures that management uses (and auditors test) to acheive their objectives and meet their fundamental responsibilities for effectiveness, efficiency, compliance and finacial reporting.

Specific accounting controls are just a part of entity-wide controls. We will not be loading you down with accounting type controls and policies. This class should be taken before you get into those specific controls that will be in your accounting manual.
