Why now? You don’t have to be an accountant to know that there is strength in numbers. Why O’Connor Davies? We value the relationships that we have developed with our clients over the last 31 years and maintaining these ties were of utmost importance in considering a partner for the future. O’Connor Davies knows quite a bit about developing and maintaining solid relationships. In fact, the Firm traces its roots to 1891 and many of their clients, as well as many of their nearly 400 staff members, including 70 Partners, have been with the Firm for decades. Although the Firm is one of the largest and fastest growing accounting firms in the country, their growth has primarily been organic. This philosophy has been instrumental in maintaining the same friendly, approachable style of doing business that clients have expected and relied on from Marien + Company. How does this affect me? Clients will continue to work with Tom and Marcia and with the Marien + Company staff as they have always done. Tom and Marcia are partners in O’Connor Davies and they will continue to service accounts, meet with clients, respond to telephone calls and e-mails and make billing decisions. Along with maintaining a presence in Norwich, the Firm has opened an office in Wethersfield to serve our expanding client base.
