QuickBooks is easy to use, inexpensive and can be tailored to fit most small to medium-sized businesses. It can accomplish a diverse variety of functions, including creating a wide range of invoices, tracking accounts receivable and performing time and billing, as well as job cost functions. QuickBooks can record, track and prepare checks for payables, calculate and print payroll checks, determine necessary tax deposits and complete federal payroll tax forms.  In addition, QuickBooks can track grants within funds for not-for-profit and government clients.

QuickBooks’ reporting capabilities allow grant reports to be printed for any time period, even if it differs from your fiscal year. Reporting can measure the current year profit and loss against the budget and the prior year and prepare interim financial reporting, such as profit and loss reports or balance sheets for any period. QuickBooks’ reports can also be converted to Microsoft Excel worksheets with just one click of a button.
